BIOGRAPHY
“The ILLZ” is the stage name of American artist Delgis Jose Mustafa Rodriguez. He was born on July 6, 1986 in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, the first born son of Dominican and Dominican/Lebanese parents.
As of 2011 he has released one full length mixtape, The Pursuit LP (released 12/15/09), two mixtape EPs, This is…(The W.C.A. Sessions EP) (released 06/29/09) and :03 From Gold (released 03/10/11), and one collaborative video mixtape, In Between Video Series (released (08/24/10), with Kristopher Rey-Talley and Hot Mop Films.
On July 6, 2011 he released ILLZSENTIAL: The Essential ILLZ Collection, a project highlighting his best work to date.
His most recent project is the short music film inspired by songs from his full length release, The Pursuit LP, entitled Let It Fall. The project is directed by Kristopher Rey-Talley.
